About
Alex Meyers is a passionate, young actress with over eight years of singing experience. Alex was in the ensemble of the JBHS productions of Pippin, Grease, and West Side Story. She was also part of the ensemble in a one man show entitled SIGNing the Song by William Martinez, which combined the use of ASL and song to tell a beautiful story.
Alex was a member of the John Burroughs High School show choirs, doing four live shows and six competitions per year. Alex is currently a student in the musical theatre program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and is expected to graduate in Spring 2022 with a Professional Conservatory Certificate. She has also been a student with Dorothy Bishop since October 2019.
Alex is doing scene study work at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She has been working on scenes from The Children’s Hour by Lillian Hellman, Bachelorette by Leslye Headland, and Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley.
With family in both America and the United Kingdom, Alex has spent a lot of time travelling. Inspired by her uncle and grandpa, who are both professional musicians, Alex is beginning to re-learn how to play the piano, and is excited to get back into this beautiful instrument. In addition to talents surrounding musical theatre, reading, sewing, and watching live theatre occupy Alex’s free time.
